For employees who lack the necessary job skills and job knowledge, training will be needed to enable them to achieve competency. A training curriculum will identify the appropriate training modules to meet competency standards for a specific job. Where necessary, new training modules may have to be designed.

Developing Competency Assessment Tools/ System.

The assessment of employees competency is in line with the requirement of ISO 9001: 2008 clause 6.2.2. In order to assess the competency of employees, assessment tools with valid assessment criteria will have to be developed and subsequently policies and procedures for smooth implementation of the assessment system.
